Here are all of our product recommendations below. Please also check out our Going Home Day page for details on how to best acclimate your kitten/cat.

FOOD

If you are planning to change foods, please order 1 bag of dry food and 1 case of wet food we currently use so you can transfer your kitten over to their new food slowly. Fast transfers can cause diarrhea. Dry food is left out at all times for snacking, and Wet food is given 3 times a day for kittens/2 times adults for main meals as much as they will eat. We recommend the following:

3. (Optional) We use Whole Life Freeze Dried Treats as a wet food topper. Save by buying the larger dog sizes. We use Chicken, Turkey, Salmon, Tuna, and Shrimp! Ask for my 20% discount code if you’d like!

4. Great Food Bowls, to prevent whisker fatigue, no plastic as it causes cat acne.

If you are getting a dry food storage container, only get a nice twist top like this. Please don’t get a flip top, cats can lock themselves in it and suffocate.

TREATS

CARRIER

Please bring a carrier if you will be traveling with your kitten. Sounds outside can be scary unfamiliar, so it’s best to have them secured when outside of the house. These are our favorite carriers:
For one cat/kitten- Large Sturdi Bag

For two kittens- Large Divided Sturdi Bag

HARNESS

Rabbitgoo Cat Harness and Leash – We don’t recommend collars as they can get caught on something and strangle the cat/kitten. Even breakaway collars can be unsafe. We highly recommend a harness and leash, and microchipping as well.

WATER FOUNTAIN

No plastic, it causes cat acne. Cats are encouraged to drink by the sound of running water, so a fountain is a must.

Stainless Steel, Battery powered if power goes out- Feel Needy 4L Stainless Steel

Ceramic, heavier but these fountains have lasted me a long time with no issues.

LITTER

We use World’s Best Multi-Cat and really like it! (Blue Bag, but any is fine. I have also heard the Orange is really good for low tracking) Please order one bag for easy transition to their new home, and then you can transfer slowly to a new litter if you’d like. We recommend litter to be 2-3 inches deep, they enjoy digging!

We have also recently been trying Catit Pea Husk litter, and it is very low dust. Lavender or Vanilla is fine, very lightly scented. This litter does not work with the Litter Robot, the pieces are too large.

LITTER BOX

Amazing Stainless Steel Litter Box (Highly recommend 7.8 or 8 Inches tall option for less litter getting out of box, the bigger the better for Ragdolls. We use the 28 x 20 x 8) We recommend litter to be 2-3 inches deep, they enjoy digging! It is also recommended to have 1 litter box per cat plus one. (1 Cat = 2 Boxes, 2 Cats = 3 Boxes, 3 Cats = 4 Boxes, and so on…)

Nice Metal Litter Scoop

We have been using the Litter Robot and absolutely love it. Please only get the NAME BRAND LITTER ROBOT, off brand ones don’t have the same safety features and cats/kittens can get stuck in the used litter area and suffocate.
